The Village of Masset is the oldest and largest of the Islands' municipalities on Haida Gwaii. Masset is located at the north end of Graham Island and is Mile '0' of Highway 16. It is a small fishing village and was incorporated in 1961.

People from around the world come to visit the pristine beaches and walk the trails in and around Masset. Hiking trails, bird watching and access to the rich fishing grounds of Dixon Entrance are just a few of the reasons to visit. It has its own airport with regularly scheduled flights to the mainland.
